SUE is the world's most complete and best-preserved Tyrannosaurus rex ever discovered. At TELUS Spark, guests can explore a full-size cast of this remarkable fossil and learn about one of the most famous dinosaurs in the world.

Is the SUE skeleton at TELUS Spark real?

The SUE on display at TELUS Spark is a cast, which is a replica of the original fossilized bones.

After the original fossils were recovered and prepared, the Field Museum in Chicago created high-quality casts of the skeleton. These casts allow museums and science centres around the world to share SUE's story while preserving the original fossils.

The original SUE fossils are housed at the Field Museum in Chicago, Illinois.

What makes SUE special?

SUE is considered one of the most important dinosaur discoveries ever made because:

  • Approximately 90% of the skeleton was recovered
  • It is the most complete Tyrannosaurus rex specimen ever discovered
